Thank you! *we get compliments all the time re: her manners. She always says thank you when someone gives her something- it's precious! I hope she keeps it up! :)*

And her favorite...
"no!" I know this is normal for her age, but Addy has many shades of "no". From passive to aggressive, to everything in between, my daughter has mastered the art of NO. Not sure how I feel about that.

There aren't too many 2 word combos yet, unless she is repeating after somebody.
Oh, speaking of repeating...
"I. Lug. (love) YOU!" She has that one down.

I've also heard her repeat not so nice words after me- "damn" and "hell" stick out right now. oops. After those two, I have really, really made an effort to watch what I say. So far, so good.

While I'm bragging, she can also plie, heel dig and arabesque :)

There you have it! Night night!

Holly B. and the Adairs

Today my forever friend Holly took some family photos for us. She is starting to do photography professionaly, and I see great success in her future. We are so thankful to have had her offer us her services :)

Go here to check out her favorites that she posted to her blog. Rest assured, when we get all of the pics from her, I will update this again.

Thank you, Holly!

(side note: anyone know how I can add a direct link to a website without typing the entire website? for example; instead of typing out holly's entire site like above, just saying click here?)

Happy Spring Break!

First, an update. Addison is indeed still "sleeping in". I really am afraid to talk about it too much in fear of jinxing it, so I'm done.

Since I'm in good spirits- it's the first night of Spring Break, going to see Spamalot tomorrow, that which we don't talk about (above). Life is good. I just wanted to share a little something that I watched a couple of times today. So cute. And can I just say, I love Ricky Gervais? He is ridiculous. I love him. And who doesn't love Elmo?

I never thought I'd feel this way

Ugh. Time changes suck. Especially the one in spring- "spring forward". As in, lose a whole hour of sleep and suffer for a few weeks while adjusting. But this year has given me a new perspective... this whole time change thing is wonderful!

Addison has slept in until 9:00 every day this week! Granted, we have been late to school and Grammi's, but we don't care... we slept in! Waahoo!!

Addison did this a couple of weeks ago, but I knew it was a growth spurt as she was eating us out of house and home. She ate anything and everything put in front of her. And then some. Then, one morning, I went to put a pair of her jeans on her and they were complete high-waters. We are officially in a 2t now. I am realizing that's not at all what this blog was about... just wanted to throw that little tidbit in there.

So, yeah. If Addison doesn't sleep in again tomorrow I will be certain it's because I blogged about it. And in that case, I will never blog again.

Nighty Night

I often miss Addy's bed time in our house since I teach until 7:00 or 8:00 most nights. It is always one of my favorite parts of my day when I can help with bath time and story time. At the end of story time tonight, Addison asked Daddy to read to her, and I was ready with the camera to capture some cute pictures.

Hope you all had as good of a night as we did over here!

Pee Pee

Hooray! Addison pee peed on the potty this morning!

Her diaper was completely dry when she woke up, so I asked her if she wanted to sit on her potty. She said yes, pulled down her jammies, and let me take off her diaper.

Our potty has a little censor that plays music: like princes ta-da! music. When she heard the music she started dancing. I told her the music was playing because she went pee pee! She looked down, saw herself peeing, and got a little unhappy. Not upset, just confused maybe? Anyway, I rewarded her with a Dora sticker that she wanted to put on her potty. She knows I was very proud and that made her very happy.

This is crazy!

As good as it gets

Today I cleaned house, and these pictures display just how clean and organized my home ever REALLY gets. You might notice that the room appears to have vomited Elmos, Doras and other various toddler toys. And to think, I used to convince myself that I would always have my beautiful house, and that we would just always put the toys away, so as not to interrupt our adult decor. Ha!

We obviously need tie-backs for our curtains. It's always something...

The laundry that is sitting on the couch will still be sitting there tomorrow, and probably the next day, too. Except it won't be the same pile, it will just be a constant rotation of laundry. I sometimes really feel like I am always doing laundry. I definitely feel as though I am always looking at laundry.

When I clean, I usually clean everything in the house, pretty much just surface cleaning- dusting, vacuuming, tidying up. And then somewhere in the house I completely lose it and crazy deep clean, sometimes for upwards of three hours. Today I went psycho in our laundry room. Yikes! Spilled detergent, with laundry lint practically cooked together on top of our drier. Massive amounts of lint behind the drier. I literally vacuumed the entire room, top to bottom, for 30 minutes. Then bleached the washing machine.

It's a good cleaning strategy for me. As long as each time I clean I focus mainly on one room, everything stays relatively clean without being neglected for too long.

Here's the clean kitchen. Literally the cleanest my kitchen ever gets. High chair tray in the sink, a pile of dishes next to the sink. Pretty tidy, and VERY clean (I scrub out kitchen a LOT. I HATE a dirty kitchen). But it's never perfect. There's always one more thing that needs to be done.

Hm. This blogging business might be getting out of control. I mean, I am blogging about cleaning my house. Yeah, it's time to be more picky when deciding what to blog about. Starting with the next blog.
