Halloween Parade

My favorite "production" that Bethany School puts on is their Halloween celebration. The kids all come dressed in their costumes, march around the sanctuary to cute songs like Ghostbusters and Monster Mash and show off their costumes. Here are a few pictures from this year's parade:

Sweet Addison

This is one of Addison's two "best friends" from her class, Sierra. She was a bunny rabbit.

We Live In a Sick House!

It started with Addison. She didn't feel well for a couple of days- seemed to just be allergies. Then she developed a NASTY cough. A couple of days later she developed fever.

The day that Addison's cough made it's appearance, so did Aiden's congestion. The day her fever came, so did Aiden's cough.

Cue Mike's symptoms. Headache, congestion, aches and pains.

So at this point, Addy's fever is gone, cough is very much still there as is her congestion. Aiden has fever, Mike doesn't feel well, and I have a tickle in the back of my throat.

Uh oh.

I took the kids to the doctor, just to check to make sure there was nothing going on with their ears. All was good. Was told it was just a cold.

Mike and the kids started to feel better, but I, well I got fever on Friday morning.

Both kids seem to be totally fine now. I have a nasty cough and congestion (no more fever though). Mike has missed work the last two days- he went to the doctor today and has double ear infections and a sinus infection.

The moral of this post is... stay away from our house.

Britney Bunco

I LOVE my bunco group! We have a different theme every month- previous themes have been bridesmaid, white trash, pretty in pink, pajama... we always have so much fun!

So last night's Bunco was BRITNEY SPEARS! Woohoo! I channeled my inner crazy person and dressed as crazy brunette Britney.

I wasn't going to go because our whole family has been sick, but a couple of phone calls from the girls convinced me to at least drop by. When I arrived I really wasn't feeling well. One friend even noted that I felt "clammy". A little wine made me forget I felt bad. I stayed out way too late and am totally suffering today. I feel like CRAP. Whatever Aiden, Addison AND Mike have had this week finally made it's way to me. Yuck.

But, I couldn't miss BRITNEY BUNCO! I mean, come on!

Texas Vs. Nebraska

Hook 'em! Thank goodness Texas played well. And WON! This has been a rough season. We always enjoy watching the games, but REALLY enjoy the games that we win!

We watched the game at Brandon and Haila's. They grilled the yummiest food, made sangria, and we all had a great time!

Kassidy really loved Aiden. He loved her too!

Moby Wrap

Seriously, how am I just now discovering the wonders of the Moby Wrap? I wanna not only use it for Aiden ALL DAY, but I kinda wanna stick Addy in there too! It's AWESOME! Today Aiden took an hour and a half nap in there- while I cleaned house!

Over It.

Listen, sleep is essential. We all need our sleep.

People like me, who only get a MAXIMUM of three hours at a time (most of the time only two), slowly start to turn into walking dead people. That's what I feel like. A dead person. Except I walk and talk.

Aiden Reed, are you listening?? START SLEEPING MORE THAN 3 HOURS AT NIGHT! I AM OVER IT!

Bethany School's 30th Anniversary

We celebrated with Addison's school on Saturday. They had The Biscuit Brothers come out to perform, and they were so great!

Again, The Biscuit Brothers were so great- if you ever get the chance to take your kids to see them, I highly recommend it!

An Afternoon with the Girls

Last Friday we took Abigail to The Big Bounce, an indoor bounce house, with lots of different "courses" and areas for the kids to play. We had lots of fun!

For Your Information

Aiden had his 4 month well check and checked out really... well.

He's 95-100% for height
50% for weight
and...
wait for it...
15% for head.

At least he's growing steadily.

He charms everyone he meets, even strangers who he doesn't meet. I've had numerous strangers approach me saying "you didn't know we were watching your baby from across the room, but we were and just had to come and tell you that he is the smiliest, sweetest baby ever!!"

I agree with them wholeheartedly. He is the cutest baby ever and he charms me every day.

From Her Perspective

Mike gave Addison our old camera the other day. Smart... it was just sitting in our junk drawer.

Ninety percent of the pictures she took were ruined by her finger being in the way, but there were a couple in there that were "clear". The mentioned finger that was in the way smudged the lens, so most pictures are kinda fuzzy. (this has nothing to do with the fact that the camera is a piece of junk, or that a three year old was behind the lens.)
