Recipe

This is a crock pot recipe I found that claims to taste like Rudy's creamed corn. Wanted to put it here because I can't "pin" it and don't want to forget about it.

1/2 stick of butter
8 oz cream cheese
1/3 cup of half and half
2 lbs of frozen corn
1/2 t each of salt and pepper
1 T sugar

Throw it all in a crockpot and cook on low for 3-4 hours, stirring occasionally.

Oh, and here's another one:
BACON RANCH SLOW COOKED CHICKEN ~
2 Tbsp Real Bacon Bits (I use 1/2 bag or jar)
1 tsp minced garlic (can use powder)
1 pkg Hidden Valley Ranch Dressing Mix
1 can Cream of Mushroom Soup
1 can Chicken Broth
1 cup Sour Cream
4-5 Boneless Chicken Breasts (skinless) (I poke holes in them with fork)

1. Combine first 5 ingredients.
2. Spray crock pot with Pam & put chicken breast in crock pot.
3. Pour ingredients over the chicken breast.
4. Cook 3-4 hours on HIGH until done.
***Makes an excellent gravy to serve with mashed potatoes, rice or noodles***

deep thoughts

1. I was just throwing out/gathering for donation tons of kids clothes and toys and wondering... since doing this is SO NECESSARY in order to avoid clutter and complete chaos... and I don't do it often enough (maybe only twice a year?!)... if I SCHEDULED days to do this, like months in advance, to set aside a morning or afternoon completely devoted to purging... would I do it? Would that really work out? I feel certain that other things would come up and take priority. I think I'm gonna do it and see what happens.

2. I feel VERY behind in just discovering the fact that Addison can play computer games all by herself and actually really enjoys it. She plays all kids of learning games and is really good! I wonder how long she could have been doing this, had I known about this completely uncharted territory of entertainment for my kids! And I wonder, does everyone know about this but me? I never hear any moms talking about their kids playing computer games. Is it bad? Should I not encourage it? Oh my. I just went through a complete thought process here on the blog, in real time. Wow. Now I just really don't know how I feel about these computer games!

Thoughts?

Edited to add: I didn't want to post this on facebook, as I really try not to put completely random and pointless things there, unless I think they're funny, in which case they're not useless. Anyway, it feels like it doesn't belong here on the blog, but I didn't know where else to put it. I'm just trying to justify blogging nonsense. Carry on.

CHEESE

Forgive my obnoxious prodding. If you stick it out til the very end, it's totally worth it.

Have I REALLY not blogged in over a week? OH NO! Let's play catch up, shall we?

Tonight, thanks to Holly, I found my newest time waster: Pinterest. Once you start, you can't stop. Ugh. I love it. I hate it. I love it!

I only have two more days of Princess Camp! Please don't misunderstand. I LOVE my princesses. I just don't love the exhaustion that comes with Princess CAMP. I am SO tired. Like, really really REALLY tired. Really.

And I only have two more weeks of summer classes at the studio! Then it's back to normal with a full schedule and full classes. I'm just about OVER working twice as hard to make half as much money. SO not fun.

Funny: One of my princess camp teachers told me that she and another teacher were whispering to one another during the "quiet" part of camp (ballet). She said that Addison camp up to them, and whispered to them: "I like pickles now".

My hairdresser hooked me up with an AWESOME deal on a Brazilian Blowout today. My hair is straight and so pretty! And will be this way for a few months! And I hardly had to pay anything! What up, LiAnne?! Holla atcha girl!

Aiden is THE BEST. Well, Addison is THE BEST, too. They BOTH are the best. You know who else is the best? Mike. And you. You're the best, too.

Oooh, I've read some books lately: I read A Stolen Life by Jaycee Dugard. Oh my word, what a story she has lived to tell. It is absolutely horrifying and inspiring at the same time. I also read a book called Spoiled, written by two hilarious ladies who write a fashion blog/website. The book is not one I recommend. I do recommend you visit their website, though. They really are a hoot. Too bad about their book, really. And did I blog about The Firm yet? Yeah, I read that too. Good stuff. And a book called Crazy Girls. Don't read it. Not worth your time. Annnd... Jimmy Fallon's last two books. Super funny. Very quick reads. Like, finished in an hour quick. Bummer. I also read Water For Elephants, but had to stop reading it because I couldn't take the animal cruelty. I'm so weird, I know. And I read The Help as well. Am NOT looking forward to the movie, so don't even ask. I'll gladly take suggestions on what I should read next.

I feel like we're sufficiently caught up now. See ya in another week, I'm sure!
