First, just have to say it before I forget to say it. Addy says the cutest thing ever when she wants to cuddle, or be held. She outreaches her arms and says "hold you". She also pulled out a "kiss you" the other day when I was driving and not able to respond to multiple "hold you"s. Tugged at my heart strings. So sweet.
Anyway. I have been SO busy and stressed lately, that I have not been at home or available to "be" with Addy when I am at home due to work. I have not worked (yet) today, and it's been AWESOME.
Today Addy and I had a fun morning. We ate breakfast together (which, sadly, is rare). We watched "Princess Movies"- she really wanted Sleeping Beauty. She's her favorite on her jammmies, books ,etc. Seems to me that Sleeping Beauty is hardly in that movie at all! I had to fast forward a LOT for scenes with the pretty princess. They were far and few between. But when Sleeping Beauty was on screen Addison was in HEAVEN. She actually danced around when the classical music came one and would say "Addy princess?" "Addy pretty?". OH. HOW. CUTE.
At this point, I decided to bring all of her dress up clothes upstairs to my room. She wore her barbie dress and changed her high heels about every 5 minutes. She carried her purses (which were also switched out multiple times) and she watched Cinderella. Again, lots of fast forwarding, but not as much. The part with the glass slipper really captivated Addy- it was funny. We all know by now how much she loves shoes, so it was funny to see her captivated by the shoe storyline.
I should mention that while this was happening, Addy was allowing me to put laundry away and "clean up". Good girl.
We cooked lunch together. (Again, sadly, this rarely happens. Like, never happens). She wore the apron and oven mit that grammi gave her for her birthday. We watched the water come to a boil, and Addison poured the macaroni into the water. For the rest of the prep time, Addy "cooked" with her cooking toys. It was very cute. And fun.
After lunch, we had story time for about 45 minutes. "Nother one." "one more".
Now, she is napping and I am looking forward to the rest of the day with my sweet girl. I think we might go swimming at GaGa's :) (good thing about that is that I can get some work done while she plays with her cousins and auntie and uncle are there to help watch the kids while they play).
Oh, and in case anyone was wondering, Mike is away all day :( Golfing this morning. Movie this afternoon. I'm flying solo.
That's all.

I am obsessed.
No "might be" about it.
Watch this: (start at the :20 mark if you don't want her "back story")
I mean, COME ON. She is gorgeous, passionate, technical, LOVE.
Now, watch this. PURE entertainment. They are brothers, and if you're only gonna watch one, I say skip to 1:55.
Maybe you're not as addicted to dance as I am, in fact I'm sure you're not, but surely you can see the joy that it brings to so many. I LOVE this flippin show!!

I might be obsessed
This is the epitomy of what I would like every student of mine to learn at my studio. Watch the judges comments, they are soo right on. She is perfection, in my eyes.

Addison's Party. AND my prediction for the new world record for longest blog post and most pictures in one post.
Here we go. SO. I have so many things to say and so many pictures to share. I hope you enjoy. Sorry in advance if you don't. As stated before, ALL of these pics (and lots more!) will eventually end up on our shutterfly page. So if you actually DO enjoy these pictures, there will be a place for you to see more.
I first just kind of want to brag, because I think that things went really well, and I am proud of myself for pulling together not just a decent party, but an actually fun one as well, with the stress I've been under lately. And with the time that I actually spent planning the party.
The party started at 10:00, so we had coffee, oj, fruit salad and Krispy Kreme donuts to offer before cake and presents, etc. The kids all played in the Purple room" or "big" room (it's actually "studio one", but whatever.)room, and surprise, surprise... Addison spent at least 75% of her time on the trampoline:
Abbie getting in on the jumping action
Taking a break from all of the jumping
Uncle Adam providing entertainment for the kids and adults
A decent shot of how the party looked for the most part- kids running around doing their own thing...
The kids were playing house and wanted me to be "the teenager". ha. Starting with me going counter-clockwise: Micah, Jude, Kassidy, Addison, Bella, Audrey, Chloe, Abby and Lyla
I don't have many good shots of present opening, but Addy was a very sweet girl, she individually hugged everybody after receiving their gifts. Of course, I totally made her do it, but she was very sweet. Here she is hugging Ms. Bess :)
"Uncle" Bobby painted her a picture!!
And how sweet is this hug?
PINATA TIME!!! I have SO many pictures that I am not going to post out of respect for you and your time, but if you read this and want pics of your kids whacking the pinata, let me know and I'll email them to you. They are all AWESOME pics :)
Addy went first... Going at that pinata just like her mama. Nice and dainty.
I am not reserving pinata pictures only for Addison. While everyone else at the party was really cute, and I really do have GREAT pics of all, I just have to share these pictures of ny nephew, Micah. He went at that pinata with the strength of an eight year old. It was crazy! (notice the faces of the big kids in the background. you might also notice my moving closer and closer to protect all the kids!)
Again, really going after that pinata with full force.
So, by this point, the pinata had slightly broken. Here are some more gems of my EIGHTEEN MONTH OLD nephew:
Maybe the world's cutest baby. Baby Luke.
Finally, cake time. We have a Baskin-Robbins a couple doors down from the studio, so got Addy a cake with strawberry ice cream and vanilla cake.
"Happy Birthday, to ADDY!"
Kids eating cake!
Just a really sweet picture of Ginger and Jude.
Literally the best shot we could get of the whole group. It's actually pretty good! Top row, L-R: Meredith, Bella, Audrey. Second row: Chloe, McKennah holding Luke, Lyla, Abby, Kassidy. Front row: Addy, Jude, Abbie holding Micah.
Yup. I'm tired. But now can check this off of my "to do" list. I just figured out how to upload these pics to my studio website under the birthday party tab. It might be after 1:00, but I also might go update my website. We'll see...

Williamson County Symphony Orchestra
Last Friday evening, Haila and Kassidy joined me and my family for an evening at the park enjoying live music, courtesy of The Williamson County Symphony Orchestra. It was a fairly enjoyable evening. I mean, if you don't mind not sitting dwon at all. And chasing after a toddler. In that case, you'd probably have thought it was really nice!

Happy Second Birthday, Addison!!
Today was Addy's birthday, and we celebrated ALL day. First, she took home-baked cookies from scratch(patting myself on the back right now), Sesame Street Party Hats, and a pretty, pretty princess party hat special for the birthday girl. Here's a picture I took when right when I picked her up.
I decided to make today a little more special by packing a lunch and eating it on the playground at school. Here's a little pic of her saying "Birthday!"
After we went home and took a WONDERFUL nap (two and a half hours!) we headed up to the studio. Addy wore her birthday hat, and all of the girls treated her so special. Of course, when it was picture time, the hat HAD to come off. It is Addy's world, after all. Posing with my junior rising stars:
After Mike picked Addy up from the studio, they headed out to Grammi and Grandpa's house for a special birthday dinner. I had to work, so wasn't able to join them :( Mike took SO many wonderful pictures, it was hard to choose a few to post here. I will post them all to our shutterfly page someday. Gimme two to three years.
Swinging with Grandpa
Yay! Her VERY own oven mitt!!
See?
Her very own cupcake
Happy Birthday to you!
Silly Grandpa.
Addison is completely enamored with Papa.
The best family shot they could get with NaNa and PapaGrammi, Grandpa and Addy. Both great shots.

Mother's Day with the Adairs
Sunday we joined Grammi, Grandpa, NaNa and PaPa for our Mother's Day celebration.
We enjoyed a delicious lunch, and visited with each other until it was Addison's nap time.
Here are a couple of sweet pictures from the afternoon: (we probably should have turned the Backyardigans off before trying to take the pics. Her attention is clearly diverted)
Happy Mother's Day (albeit slightly belated) to Grammi and NaNa. We all love you so much and thank you for all you do. :)

Mother's Day
Well, I have to start by saying that I have a wonderful husband, who is a wonderful father, and I am truly, truly lucky to have nabbed such a great man.
Mother's Day started out a little rough (not for lack of Mike's trying, though). I was brought coffee in bed, but before the coffee made it to my hands, it spilled all over our carpet beside the bed. My wonderful husband volunteered to go out and buy me a new coffee, and when he returned 15 minutes later, the coffee was disgusting. Like with coffee grounds floating on the top, and the bottom of the cup completely covered in grounds. yuck.
Anyway. I then went outside to find sidewalk art that Mike and Addy had designed while I was sleeping in. Here are some pictures Mike took of the process.
After we spent the morning together, we headed to my mom's house, where Mike and Adam cooked dinner, dessert, and even cleaned up after themselves! We were treated to steaks, baked potaotes, salad, cheesecake and chocolate covered strawberried. Yummy! We had to postpone mother's day celebrations with Mike's mom and Nana to this weekend... hopefully a post will follow.
I hope all you mommys out there had as wonderful of a day as I did! Happy Belated Mother's Day to you all! (shouldn't every day be Mother's Day?)
