Play Date

This morning, my sweet friend Sharon and her adorable son Matthew came over for a little visit.

Sharon has been a good friend of mine, even before I met her. Let me explain... Sharon used to work at Deerpark with Mike. As soon as we announced we were expecting Addison 4 years ago (HOW CRAZY IS THAT? I DON'T WANT TO TALK ABOUT IT...) Sharon started sending Mike home with bags and bags of ADORABLE baby clothes. As Addison grew, so did the clothes she gave us. Remember, I hadn't even really met Sharon yet! And when we learned we were having a boy, she added boy clothes to the girl clothes she was continuing to give to us.

Coincidentally, Sharon happens to be part of my bunco group. There are a couple of Deerpark connections in the group, so this is why we bunco together. So I've gotten to know her over dice and girl talk and I have to say I really, really adore Sharon.

Wow, long entry for what I'd intended on being a post with a couple of pictures.

Thanks for coming over, guys! When our little guys are running around I have a feeling our play dates are going to be a lot more interesting!

Fire Truck Tour

Yesterday (or I think it was actually Monday) Addy and I went to "Jungle Java"- a place that is, in my opinion, WAY overpriced. Next time I'll just take Addison to a nice Mickey D's if she wants a playscape.

Aaanyway. A few firemen came in an announced that they were giving tours of their truck outside! Addy and I ran out, and as soon as they started to talk to Addison, she totally froze up. Typical Addison.

Here she is, keeping her distance.

She did go inside, but wanted out almost immediately. At least she was cooperative with me and willing to pose for a picture :-)

WHAA?

Yesterday Addison said that my shoes were "exquisite".

I asked her what exquisite meant and she said "beautiful and special".

Wow!!

HA!

Ok, ok, I'm sorry. I just can't help my obsession with these horrible Housewives on Bravo. This is an old clip, but a funny one. If you don't watch the show, unfortunately, this sketch will give you a pretty good idea of what these women are like.

Play Date

We went over to play with our pals Kalyn and Embyr this morning. The girls had a great time, and the mommies had a nice time catching up.

Addy brought Embyr a tutu, so the girls played in their tutus all morning. How appropriate for a play date involving Addison.

We stuck around for lunch, and the girls were so cute, eating their lunches together.

Thanks for having us over, girls! We had fun!

Sweet, sweet girl

I posted this on facebook, but wanted to share with my bloggy friends who aren't connected.

The other day Addison wished me a "Happy Best Friends Day". She then told me, "Today, I'm celebrating YOU!"

OMG, at that moment I would have bought her a million Barbies if she would have asked.

That's all.

Dance Party!

Ever wonder if Addison is still wearing a leotard or tutu every day? Well, scroll down the blog to see for yourself, that yes, she does indeed wear a dance outfit every. day. Today was no exception. And today I had the camera nearby when Addy had one of her "dance parties".

Today Aiden got in on the action (from a distance, anyway)

Our precious, precious son:

And both of our precious children:

Hate to sound like a broken record, but shouldn't it go without saying that I LOVE THEM?!?!

6 Years

6 Years ago today, I married my best friend. So cheesy, I know. But it's true. In 6 years we have bought a house, had two children, and started a fabulous life for ourselves. Mike is my partner in everything, and there isn't enough time in the day for me to sing his praises. He is more and more amazing and wonderful every day. Seriously. I know marriages have highs and lows, we must be on a high right now.

Why am I blogging on our anniversary? Because we celebrated last night. With a frozen meal and wine :-) Addy was with Grammi and Grandpa (THANK YOU, Grammi and Grandpa! I know it wasn't an easy time for you guys) so we had a quiet evening at home with our precious little Aiden and our dvr. It was a perfect evening.

I love my sweet husband!

Summer Fun

It's HOT these days! Today we pulled our little kiddie pool out so that Addison could enjoy being outside without having a heat stroke.

She had a blast!

Nap Time

11 Weeks

Aiden is all smiles these days. I mean, he's just so sweet. It would be impossible for me to love him any more than I do. He's amazing.

In Need of a Spa Weekend. Anyone wanna help out with that?

This week was really, really, REALLY rough.

Ima gonna break it down for you.

9-1 Princess Camp. Monday-Friday. Addison is with me. She is very difficult: one day she hit another camper and spit on another camper (was blowing out while sticking her tongue out- intentionally getting the little girl "wet". want to clarify that, because when I say she "spit on another camper", it sounds like she hawked a loogie. It wasn't THAT bad). There were tears every day, asking me to hold her, not listening to me or obeying me, oh, it was very... trying.. Aiden is home with Mike and he is awesome. Takes a bottle like a pro. While I'm at work, I have to pump and leave my assistant alone with 22 princesses and 3 helpers, all under the age of 13. Super stressful.

2-4 Rising Star II Camp. Monday-Friday. Aiden is with me. This is THE WEEK our girls are supposed to learn their competition routines for the upcoming season. I am not feeling inspired or creative and essentially waste an entire week. I have to nurse Aiden right in the middle of camp, forcing me to sit for 20 minutes and causing the girls to completely lose their focus. Takes 20 more minutes to get back on track. Teach them routines but come to the conclusion on Friday that I will have to re-choreograph 75% of everything I taught, and for one dance, change not only the choreography, but the song too.

5:30-7:30 Regular team classes. Wednesday and Thursday. Aiden is with me. Again, forced to nurse and deal with getting the girls back on track. Realize I'm completely out of shape and have no strength at all. Have a hard time executing moves that a year ago were very easy for me.

12:00-4:00 Wednesday and Thursday. I have Aiden and Addison. Addison misses her nap. Is even more fussy than she was during Princess Camp.

8:30am Friday. Mike's car is dead. We jump start it, I let my assistant know I will be late to camp. Get the car going, and I make it as far as the stop sign on our street. Car dies again. We jump start it again and I am VERY late to camp. We spend Wednesday with one car, trading off kids, getting to each of our jobs- camp, mike's workshops, camp, home, classes, ugh.

5:00 on Friday. I am HOME. Open the bottle of wine and *try* to relax. End up downloading music, returning emails and getting ready for fall classes by 7:00 on Friday. Can't. Shut down. Was SO go go go this week that it's nearly impossible for me to NOT be exhausted and stressed at the same time.

I need a hot tub. And a massage. And another glass of wine. And chocolate. And a good night's sleep. Wish me luck. I predict I'll get maybe one of those things. I'll take it... it's better than nothing.

Confession

I just sat on the edge of my bed, my king size bed, for 20 minutes- half a booty practically hanging off- because I didn't want to disturb my precious baby who fell asleep in the middle of "my side" of the bed.

It took me 20 minutes to realize that it was getting ridiculous and that I should move him.

The confession is that I am still sitting on the edge of my bed.

THAT'S love.

Crazy

Today was the longest. day. ever.

I am teaching Princess Camp this week from 9am-1pm, every day.

I am also teaching my Rising Star II camp this week from 2pm-4pm, every day.

I am ALSO teaching my regular classes Wednesday and Thursday from 5:30-7:30pm. I guess that makes Wednesday and Thursday the longest. days. ever. Ugh.

Addison is attending Princess Camp (along with TWENTY ONE other princesses!) and we had a lot of fun together today. I really love being able to be in the studio with her and to teach her. Such a fun experience.

While I'm at camp this week, Aiden is staying home with Mike! He eats from the bottle like a pro! I'm having to pump while at work, which is interesting, but I have a refrigerator up there, so it works out nicely.

Oh, AND, guess what? THE THRUSH IS BACK. Yes, it's BACK. New round of medicine, back to awful and uncomfortable feedings, this is just miserable!

Guess what else?! My fabulous friend Holly is having a GIRL! SO excited for her, it almost makes me forget about the thrushy boobs. tmi? sorry.

Oh, and one more thing. The whole sleeping through the night thing I mentioned a few days ago? Hasn't happened again since I blogged it. So I will not be mentioning anything to do with sleep again, until it is for sure really happening. Otherwise it's just no fun for any of us.
