Last night we went out to celebrate three birthdays: mine, Melissa's and Adam's.
I'm not sure if it was the fact that my sinus infection had kicked into high gear yesterday, or if it was genuinely a bad experience... but sadly, Siena was disappointing. I wouldn't recommend it.
First: our waiter SUCKED. When you are paying the kind of money we (Mom) paid, you expect to be treated nicely and with respect. He was impatient, inattentive and RUDE. Blech.
Second: the food was good, but not AMAZING. Again, when you're paying the kind of money we (Mom) spent, it should really be something special. I don't think anything, aside from the bread, was spectacular. I had the pecan crusted trout. It wasn't bad by any means, but I've had just as good seafood elsewhere. The mele e speck* salad with apples, walnuts and blue cheese was good. But I've had better. *edited because apparently, my habit of getting words mixed up and backward transfers to the blog, too.
Boo. It was, without a doubt, still a great evening. Thank you, Mom, for the treat. I just wanted to share my experience and maybe save somebody a couple hundred bucks.
