"It doesn't matter, you can pick."

When I heard the above words, I knew Miss Addison was feeling BAD. I had asked her what shoes she wanted to wear. Never, ever, have I heard those words in response to that question.

So, I took Addy to the doctor today. She has fever, about 101, and has a double ear infection. Poor thing.

Here's the thing with Addison. She had a rough first year. She had MANY mystery illnesses, lots of them were right around the same time as eachother, confusing symptoms... We suspected that she was allergic to augmentin and omnicef because she broke out in a rash around the time she was given those medications. ANYWAY, for 3 years we've been using one antibiotic, the only one available after the allergies... and they've pretty much not ever fixed past infections, and have seemed to have lost their effectiveness completely.

Today Dr. Unite wanted to give Addison omnicef in his office and monitor her for an allergic reaction. We stayed there for, no joke, a total of 3.5 hours. Good news: no rash! (yet- we're supposed to monitor all night)

If you've read the blog before, you know that Addison HATES taking medicine. So, getting her to take the medicine in the office without throwing it up was a huge accomplishment. I gave her a dissolvable tylenol tablet at bed time, so hopefully she'll rest well tonight. We'll see how tomorrow goes. She's not going to school, so Nanny Kat will watch her. Hopefully she'll take the medicine.

To be continued...
:)
