Hope everyone had a fun 4th of July! We sure did. We'll probably never again do what we did, but we still both agree that it was fun.
On the 3rd, we joined the cousins for swimming at GaGa's. This isn't the part that I was referring to, when I said we'd never do it again. :-) I was referring to actual 4th activities. GaGa had bought lots of fun sparklers and fireworks for the kids to play with once the sun went down. I started to feel yucky, an upset tummy, and Aiden was fussy. Fussy. Fussy. So we had to leave before the fun festivities with the cousins.
Here's Addison sparkling in her "Miss Independence" jammies (how appropriate). Hair's wet from swimming, of course.
Throwing poppers in the street (I'd never seen these before and Mike seemed to think this was ridiculous). Looks to me like Addison is saying "did you see that?!"
All of the cousins (minus Annalie) throwing!
This is the part we probably will never do again: A Round Rock Express Game on the 4th. We bought tickets on the grass and brought a blanket, thinking it would be perfect- so that Addy could run around if she wanted or needed to. By the time we got there (still in the 1st inning), there was a teeny patch of grass left in the back, and we grabbed it. We got settled, ate some hot dogs, and watched some baseball. It really was pretty fun! The weather wasn't CRAZY hot, and once the sun was down, it was very nice!
