mad house

Well, when we planned this trip maybe we should have checked into the details. Like the little detail that today was half-price ticket day. We were prepared for crowds, but we were not at all prepared for elbow to elbow crowds of people. It was terrible. We pretty much turned around and headed for the exit right after this picture was taken. Mike took addison without the stroller to see some elephants, zebra, giraffes, rhino, flamenco birds (l thought it was spelled flamingo but they told me I was wrong.

I'm not going to say anything else about it, because really there's not much to say. It pretty much sucked.

Oh Sarah...we made this same mistake 5 years ago. We lived in Dallas at the time and were poor and Blake had no school that week...so we headed out for 1/2 price day at the FW Zoo, thinking it was a great idea! Little did we know that it is their busiest day of the year...every year...1/2 price day during spring break. Ugh! Our line looked just like that, except we stayed in it! But our picture did get in the newspaper. :)

flamenco is the mexican style of dance.
flamingo is the animal.
